The Mixed Medieval Arts

Deep within the lush forests of Watford, Ontario, lies an enchanting world that will transport you to a bygone era. Welcome to The Mixed Medieval Arts, where fantasy becomes reality and adventure awaits at every turn. The GravenWoods is a sprawling 40-acre forest that’s home to the walled town of Sunderwall. The path leading to it is unassuming, but the journey is well worth it.

As you reach the end of the trail, you’ll be greeted by a sight that will take your breath away. Sunderwall is a fully-fledged medieval town complete with a tavern, church, fighting arena, faction houses, and a magnificent main gate complete with a portcullis. It’s the ultimate setting for an immersive Heavy Action Role Play (HARP) experience like no other.

The Mixed Medieval Arts is an adventure that’s designed for everyone. With 9 playable races, 5 Guild Trees, and 7 schools of magic, the possibilities are endless. You can choose to be a humble merchant or rise to become the Regent of Sunderwall itself. It’s a free-flowing immersive adventure where non-combatants and combat enthusiasts alike can all have their moment in the sun and become the new hero of Sunderwall.

In the heart of summer, the town of Sunderwall comes alive with the annual Regents War event. It’s a night of frantic wheeling and dealing where players employ stealth, savagery, and tactics to defeat their opponents. May the winner claim all!

The Mixed Medieval Arts is open every Saturday from the end of May until the end of October. You can camp for free with attendance, and game representatives are on site from Friday night until Sunday afternoon. The game starts at noon on Saturday and runs until midnight. Within the tavern, there are facilities to cook, and tavern staff to create the meals supplied by food donations from the players in potluck style. We welcome all ages and all walks of life. However, parental supervision is required for anyone under the age of 16.

So, heed the call of Sunderwall and come one, come all! Let us transport you to a world of adventure where you can rise, siege the day, and become the hero you were meant to be.
